Thomas Seymour Nightstand
This was my final project at North Bennet and I was able to incorporate many things I had learned and wanted to learn into this piece. The original nightstand was quite plain and had an actual lifting top that held the "night commode". My version was true in dimension and proportion but contains a number of typical embellishments found on many of his other pieces. The doors are coopered poplar with veneer. The drawer fronts are also curved. The front legs are 3/4 turned. The beading was done on a shaper with a special jig.
